Who created Underrun?

Dominic Szablewski created the concept, graphics, and programming; Andreas Lösch composed the music.

Why is there no leaderboard?

The first reviewed Underrun pilot keeps public score submission disabled while the WebGL, pointer-lock, audio, and iframe lifecycle are validated.

Does this copy update from GitHub?

No. It is pinned to a specific reviewed commit and must pass the full package audit again before any upgrade.

Modifications

  • Added nonce-bearing lifecycle and scoped input adapters for the sandboxed host.
  • Routed the bundled soundtrack and effects through separate site-controlled Web Audio buses without a second in-game sound toggle.
  • Made canvas focus explicit for keyboard input and preserved centered 16:9 content in host fullscreen; Escape and pointer-lock exit release host input.
  • Added strict package CSP, responsive containment, and network-free embedded WebGL textures; public leaderboard integration remains disabled.
  • Renamed a renderer-local location variable so navigation audits remain fail-closed.
  • Moved the Bridge nonce to the URL fragment so instance identity never changes the R2 cache key.
